Spring Snow Day The last spring snow turned our world black and white again. Soon there will be buds on these apple trees and leaves and shoots to tempt the goats and green our views.
Open Farm Day – April 21, 2018 Did you know that April 21st is Raw Milk Cheese Appreciation Day? In order to celebrate, we’re having an Open Farm Day! Join us to sample our cheeses, tour the farm, learn more about our cheesemaking, and of course meet the goats (and their kids!) that make it all possible. Cheese and Twig Farm swag will be available at on-the-farm prices! More info here: www.facebook.com/twigfarmcheese/
Ski season last hurrah We have enjoyed the slow season, the first two months of each year when the goats are dry and we ski and enjoy the fires in the lodge at the Middlebury Snow Bowl. In the past week, 70 or so baby goats have been born on the farm so routine is now back in full swing. But oh how lovely it is to read and drink coffee by the fire after skiing a few runs!
Shelf Helpers Our local food coop suggested we make some “Shelf Helpers” for their cheese case. I made a few extras. If other cheesemongers would like a set for their shop, please let me know and I can pop them in the mail! Many thanks to our talented Twig Farm employee, Lauren Gitlin for the elegant descriptions.
